Oleg Gladkovsky was dismissed from his post of First Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Defence Council, as the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during his speech in Mykolaiv, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
“Today in the morning, before the flight I have signed a decree dismissing Oleg Gladkovsky from his post as the First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council. Besides, he was removed from the position of the Chairman of interdepartmental commission on the policy of the military and technical cooperation and export control,” Poroshenko said.
He added that his goal is to create conditions which could make people believe in the impartiality of the investigation.
“To convince everyone that neither position, nor ties, surnames and long acquaintance with the president help in such situations,” the Head of the State explained.
Earlier, State Fiscal Service reported $816,000 damages from corruption during supplying smuggled Russian spare parts to Ukroboronprom plants by OPTIMUMSPECPETAIL LLC. Iron, which was then used to repair military equipment from the area of hostilities, has been delivered to the enterprise.

Igor Gladkovsky, along with Vitaliy Zhukov (former advisor of “Ukroboronprom” Director, the member of supervisory council of “Meridian” company till 2013, former assistant of Yuriy Tereshchenko, ex-Head of State Service of export control, Oleg Gladkovsky’s friend, - ed.) and Andriy Rogoza (CEO of “Inter Steel Ltd.”, - ed.) were supplying smuggled Russian components and components from the Ukrainian military units through straw companies at prices 2-4 times higher than market ones.
Ukrainian presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko has initiated impeachment proceedings against Poroshenko, as his Leninska Kuznia company was involved as a straw company.
