On the morning of Tuesday, February 23, a batch of coronavirus vaccine from AstraZeneca was delivered to Ukraine from the Indian city of Pune. The vaccine against coronavirus arrived at Boryspil International Airport. The service Flightradar reported this.

Thus, a cargo plane flight TK6289 Istanbul - Kyiv of Turkish Airlines landed at the airport in Ukraine at 11 a.m.

However, the vaccine flew from India with a stop in Istanbul.

On February 22, the Ministry of Health registered a vaccine against Covid-19 Oxford/AstraZeneca for emergency medical use. Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine produced by Serum Institute of India has the local (trade) name CoviShield. Correspondingly, the CoviShield vaccine, which will arrive in Ukraine today, is officially registered.

Several days ago the Health Minister reported that the first 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca-CoviShield vaccine were shipped in India.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the level of effectiveness of the Indian vaccine CoviShield, saying that it is "one of the best vaccines." Also, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko stated that Ukraine will receive a new batch of this vaccine every 10 days, and President Zelensky said that the vaccine will be available and free.
