Fires in Luhansk regions: 34 people hospitalized

34 people were hospitalized due to the fires in Luhansk region as the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

“In the result of the fire, the death of five people is confirmed and 34 people, including 15 children, were hospitalized. 71 people appealed to the hospital for medical aid,” the message said.

The estimated area taken by the fire makes about 5,000 hectares. 1,494 people and 293 units of the equipment are involved in the elimination of the fire.

23 residential houses are destroyed and 36 houses are damaged in Smolyanynovo village and 80 houses were destroyed in Vovche village.

The large-scale fire occurred in the Luhansk region on July 7. Later, the fire spread to the residential houses; the evacuation took place.

As of the morning, July 8, the rescuers reported they found another three bodies during the elimination of fire; one person died in the intensive care unit.
