“Thus, as of 07:00 a.m., October 6, eight fire beds were eliminated out of 10; two fire beds were localized,” the message said.
It is noted that the most difficult situation is observed along the demarcation line in the territory of Novoaidar, Severodonetsk, and Stanytsia Luhanska areas, where 32 settlements occurred in the damaged area.
“The main efforts of the State Emergency Service were aimed to protest the settlements, field artillery strength of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Borovenky village and gas distribution station on the outskirts of Oleksandrivka village. Due to the combined use of the ground forces and aviation, the spread of the fire to the settlements was prevented; no need for evacuation occurred,” the rescuers explained.
In 24 hours, on October 5, the forest fire was extinguished near Trokhizbenka, Muratove, and Kapitanove settlements of Novoaidar area at 2,600 hectares; near Bobrove, Voronove, and Borovske settlements at 6,000 hectares, near Vilkhove, Stanytsia Luhanska area at 2,000 hectares. The fire of the forest litter and dried grass was localized near Artem, Stanytsia Luhanska area at 2,000 hectares of forest litter and 20 hectares of dried grass in the field. Besides, the fire bed was localized near Smolyanynove and Borovenky, Novoaidar area at 4,640 hectares.
