‘The patrol police drove by the Prydniprovsk thermal power plant and noted the puffs of fire at its territory. Something erupted but did not explode. The police immediately came to the checkpoint of the facility, reported on the incident but the security was already informed. They notified the direction of the facility and called the Emergency Service. The version of the terrorist act is not confirmed at the moment’, Ehor Ehorin, the police lieutenant said.
Due to the fact that the facility is a guarded object and the entrance to the territory of the thermal power plant is strictly prohibited. The police could examine only the surrounding territories. Any suspicious objects or identities were found.
Also, the ambulance and operative rescue group came to the place of the incident. Preliminary, an open distribution device burns.
The Emergency Service reported that the firemen established that the fire occurred in the metal current transformer such as TFZM-330 a total of 15 square meters.
The fire was located at 4:43 and liquidated at 4:55. 50 people and10 units of the rescue and firefighting equipment were used. No casualties reported. The law enforcement bodies establish the causes of the incident.
