Fire in Odesa hotel: Number of killed increases up to 9

The number of killed in Odesa Tokyo Star hotel has increased up to 9 people. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that on its Facebook page. 

"According to refined information the ninth person was found during the investigating actions on August 17 at 2:12 p.m.," the message reads.

It was reported about 8 killed and 10 injured people.

We recall that on the night of August 17, a large-scale fire broke out in the Odesa Hotel Tokyo Star. It is noted that a message about a fire in the hotel was received by the rescuers at 1:34.

To extinguish the fire 13 units of equipment and 65 personnel were involved. They managed to eliminate fire on 1000 square meters area at 4:32. As a result of the incident, 8 people died, another 10 were injured.

The management of the Odesa Tokyo Star Hotel, in which 9 people were killed in a fire on the night did not allow a routine check of the State Emergency Service in July 2019.
