Fire in Luhansk region: Rescuers find body of fifth victim

Another 22 people stay in regional hospitals

Five people died, another 22 persons were hospitalized during the fire in Luhansk region as President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated.

“Currently, we have information that five people died. But it is incomplete information. I believe that we will have 100% information until the end of the day,” the president said.

Besides, Zelensky noted that 24 buildings are destroyed, and about 60 are damaged by fire.

Earlier, the Ukrainian President heard briefing concerning the compensation for people suffered from the fires in Luhansk region. The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate money during today’s session.

The large-scale fire occurred in Luhansk region on July 7. Later, the fire spread to the residential houses; the evacuation took place.

As of the morning, July 8, the rescuers reported they found another three bodies during the elimination of fire; one person died in the intensive care unit.

The precise number of the deceased is unknown.
