It is noted that nine women at the age of 67 up to 85 and six men at the age of 71 up to 91 died. The expert studies continue and the bodies were not passed to the relatives.
On January 21, in Kharkiv, the two-story building was caught on fire. It was reequipped for the nursing home. The tragedy resulted in the death of 15 people. Later, an 83-year-old man died in hospice after he was saved in fire at Zoloty Chas (Gold Time) home for elderly people.
Preliminary, the tragedy occurred due to the misuse of electric heating elements.
Due to the tragedy in Kharkiv, Friday, January 22 is declared a morning day.
Four people were detained, possibly, involved in the incident. The law enforcers detained the owner of the two-story building that he rented for the house of elderly people, the lessee, his wife as the director of the retirement house, and an administrator who coordinated work of the care home but was not officially employed. They were served charged.
Later, the court chose a restrictive measure for all of them and detained them for 60 days without the right to a bail.
