The small village of Novokamianka of Bakhmut district in Donetsk region was almost completely destroyed by the fire. Four houses burned out completely, another one was damaged. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk military-civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky on his page in Facebook.
“Today, the fire brought another misfortune to the Donbas: at about 2:00 pm the village of Novokamianka in Bahmut district was almost completely destroyed - 4 of the 5 houses in the village burnt to the ground. The shed, the car and hens burned in the yard of the fifth house,” Zhebrivsky said.
According to him, no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
“Six victims of fire found shelter in relatives’ houses in neighboring villages. One family of four people has now nowhere to go. I instructed the head of Bahmut administration Volodymyr Bohanov to find housing for people. As he reported to me, the family (78-year-old woman, 58 and 55-year-old man and his wife and 29-year-old son) was accommodated in the Artemsol hostel. The shelter for them is temporary, tomorrow we will decide where to place them for a longer time. While the fire victims receive food and clothes,” he said.
As it was reported earlier fire caused by shooting almost took over village in Donbas. It took firemen six hours to kill the flames that engulfed the field near Novooleksandrivka.
