Fines for illegal use of Ukraine's National Police symbols come into force

Fines for unreasonable use of the name and symbols of the National Police provided by the law No. 2584-VIII come into force.

Fine in the amount of $653 – 1,307 is provided for use of signs of affiliation to the National Police without criminal violations or a sign “National Police” on a car.

If the representatives of the state authority, local government bodies, physical or legal entities put the title “National Police” or signs of affiliation on clothes, cars, buildings, forms the fine will be $1,307 – 1,961.

For a repeated violation within a year, a fine for physical entities makes $1,961 – 3,269.

Ukraine’s Parliament adopted this law in October 2018.
