The Feofania Hospital, which was previously available only to Ukrainian civil servants, MPs or employees of the diplomatic corps of foreign countries, will start accepting all Ukrainians from January 1. This was announced by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko in a comment to journalists, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to the minister, starting from January next year, "ordinary people" will be hospitalized in Feofania.
"The Feofania hospital will open its doors to all citizens from January 1. We have worked out everything so that this hospital will enter the Medical guarantee programs and be contracted for priority packages," he said.
Lyashko also said that from 2022 the medical guarantees program will start working on January 1, and not on April 1, as it was in previous years.
Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 25,063 new cases of Covid-19, including 1,541 children and 398 healthcare workers.
5,057 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 793 patients deceased and 11,817 recovered. 149,569 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Dnipropetrovsk (2,616), Odesa (2,177), Kharkiv (1,535), Lviv(1,426) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 3,058,014 people have contracted the disease, 2,504,236 have overcome it, 71,635 have succumbed to it.
