An explosion occurred on a playground, located in Solomiansky district of Kyiv city, as a result of which one man died. It was reported by the press service of Ukraine's National Police .
"Today, at about 15:00, the police received a message that an explosion occurred on the playground on Chokolivsky Boulevard," the message says.
At the scene of the explosion, the body of a local resident, born in 1971, was found.
"Officers from specialized services establish the origin of the object that exploded, as well as the circumstances," the police added.
An investigative-operational group, explosives technicians and other specialized services are working on the spot.
As we reported earlier, the fire occurred at Kyiv kindergarten at Vasyl Kucher Street 8-A. The rescuers evacuated 124 children.
“On February 9, at 10:01, the operative and coordination center of the Chief Department of the Emergency Service in Kyiv received information about fire in the kindergarten at Vasyl Kucher Street 8-A in Svyatoshyn district of the capital,” the message said.
It is established that at the doctor's office on the first floor of the kindergarten, the ignition in the fridge occurred. The fire was liquidated by the kindergarten’s staff with the help of the fire extinguisher before the arrival of the firemen.
Due to the intense smoke held the intelligence operation and evacuated 124 children during it. As a result of the event, there are no victims.
