The police opened the criminal proceeding due to the damage to the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported.
The investigative group continues to work at the site. Currently, all versions of the explosions are being developed.
Besides, the experts continue repair works at the pipeline. It is not reported when the works will end.
“We have met the employees of Ukrtransgas at the site; they said that they do not know when the works will be finished,” the message said.
On January 9, the explosion resulted from depressurization that took place at the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline in Lubny, Poltava region. The explosion took place near the village of Kalaidyntsi at around 16:00.
It was noted that 2,860 households, 4 village councils and 7 budgetary institutions remain without gas. Later, a gradual restoration of gas supply to settlements began in Poltava region, after the explosion on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline.
