A gradual restoration of gas supply to settlements began in Poltava region, after the explosion on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline. This was reported by the Lubnygaz entity press service.

"The corresponding divisions of Lubnygaz have been sent to the settlements, which will restore gas supply to household consumers. The restoration of gas supply to consumers, according to calculations, will occur within 2 hours after the accident is eliminated by Ukrtransgaz," the message says.

It is noted that now 2,860 households, 4 village councils, and 7 budgetary institutions remain without gas.

As we reported earlier, an explosion occurred on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline in the Poltava region, which is serviced by the "Operator of the Gas Transportation System of Ukraine" (Ukrtransgaz).

The explosion took place near the village Kalaidyntsy around 16:00.

Local residents were warned that an emergency gas shutdown is possible. According to preliminary information, there are no victims or injured. 40 people were involved in extinguishing the fire. Repair teams are working at the scene of the incident. There is no danger for residents of neighboring settlements. Gas transit is also not in danger. The causes of the accident are still unknown.
