As a result of the explosion which occurred at the rally in support of Ethiopia’s PM Abiy Ahmed more than 80 people were injured, as Al Jazeera reports referring to the press office of the Head of the State.
“At least 83 people were wounded,” the message says.
At the same time, no information was reported on the victims. Yet, earlier, the PM informed about several died after the attack.
Meanwhile, AP reports that there are a few suspects in the attack – the police have arrested two men and a woman right after the attack.
As we reported earlier, an explosion was fired at the rally for Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The explosion occurred at Mesqel Square in Addis Ababa, where the newly elected PM was delivering a speech before thousands of his supporters.
When Abiy Ahmed finished his speech someone threw a hand grenade towards the rostrum. The PM was not injured. Yet, the participants of the rally were wounded.
