Former Ukrainian political prisoner, journalist Roman Sushchenko will run for local elections from the European Solidarity party as the EU Party reported.

“Political prisoner of Kremlin Roman Sushchenko during his speech at the congress of European Solidarity party confirmed that he will run for local authorities from the party because he shares values of the European Solidarity,” the message said.

MPs from the European Solidarity Mykhailo Zabrodsky and Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze will head the electoral roll to the regional council.

As we reported, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the start of the electoral campaign for the upcoming local elections - September 5.

Local elections will be held in Ukraine on October 25, 2020. 326 MPs voted for the relevant resolution № 3809. 

As reported before, Ukrainian TV presenter and showman Serhiy Prytula announced that he will be running for Mayor of Kyiv. He said this during the meeting of the Voice Party.
