A consideration of the state treason case of former president Viktor Yanukovych will continue on July 16 at 10 a.m. Vladyslav Deviatko, the presiding judge claimed this as 112.ua reported.
After the court session, the lawyers of Yanukovych specified that the questioning of Kostyantyn Kobzar, the former security head of Yanukovych as the witness will take place on July 16. Also, it is planned to question a number of the witnesses.
“We will initiate the meeting with Azarov, Klyuev, Zakharchenko, Yakymenko and other witnesses who are outside the country and the whose testimony we need to get,” Vitaly Serdyuk, one of Yanukovych’s lawyers said.
Today, the court questioned former MP and adviser of Yanukovych Hanna Herman.
On June 22, Serhiy Bernatsky, Yanukovych's former bodyguard and the witness for the defense claimed that there was a plan to kill Viktor Yanukovych, the former Ukrainian president, who was ousted from his own country and fled to Russia - after the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine toppled his regime in February 2014.
Yanukovych is charged with state treason, assistance in deliberate actions against Ukraine’s state border, sovereignty and territorial integrity and assistance in leading the aggressive war against Ukraine.
