Kyiv Court of Appeal decided to keep under arrest Mykola Makarenko, the former head of Kyiv traffic police, who was earlier extradited from Russia. This was reported on Kyiv prosecution’s Facebook page.
Lawyers asked to reduce restrictive measure for Makarenko during the court hearing, however Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office opposed the according request from the defense.
As it was reported earlier, Russian law enforcement bodies extradited Mykola Makarenko to Ukraine. Ex-official was detained in September 2016 in Moscow airport due to corruption case against him.
