He emphasized that the main aim of the future governor is the development of Ukraine in the region.
“I want him to create here Ukraine. As Donetsk region is a place where the sun of Ukraine comes up.”
According to Ukrinform, Zhebrivsky also reported on the planned meeting with Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko at which it will become known which post Zhebrivsky is going to occupy.
He also said that the resignation is his conscious decision.
“Nobody prepared my resignation. It is my conscious decision and the president understood and supported me,” Zhebrivsky said.
He added that he will work “in the sphere that Ukraine needs and it will be a decision of the president.”
“I remain to be in the president’s team,” ex-Donetsk Head concluded.
