Those involved in delaying payments to doctors should be held accountable. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in his video.

All the money allocated to the doctors from the state budget, taking into account surcharges of 300%, was transferred to the regions. However, local authorities did not consider surcharges from salaries, but from hours worked, referring to a decision of the Ministry of Social Policy of 2003. Thus, doctors who work with coronavirus-infected patients have not received the full supplement.

"It takes too long. If the local authorities cannot cope with the accrual of promised and fair surcharges, we must look for who will be responsible," Zelensky noted.

Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov promised that by Friday payments will be made in full, and doctors should submit a report to the ministry.

As we reported before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to citizens about complaints and requests for help that he received from doctors from all over the country.

"Facebook, Instagram, and my desktop are filled with requests from medical teams from all over the country. They all relate to the second stage of medical reform. Usually, we turn to doctors for help. Today our doctors beg for help," Zelensky said
