Evacuees from Ukraine's Ichnia sleeping rough in sport halls

Volunteers are collecting assistance - diapers, slippers for children, child nutrition, clothes, and means of personal care - for people, who suffered from ammo depot explosions in Ichnia

People, who suffered from explosions in Ichnia ammunition depot, are sleeping rough in sport halls in Parafiivka schools. Volunteers are gathering assistance, as Natalya Iranka, the Head of Right Sector movement in Chernihiv, wrote on Facebook.

Volunteers are collecting assistance for the victims. They need diapers, slippers for children, child nutrition, hats, warm clothes, and means of personal care.

Katerynivska church is the place of collecting the means for help.

Reportedly, an explosion in the sixth armory occurred in Ichnia, Chernihiv region. The air-space within 30 km is shut down, traffic and railway movement are stopped due to the emergency situation.  The Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Central Region opened a criminal proceeding on the case of explosions on the ammunition depot in Ichnia.

Over the past four years, it's been the fifth accident with the ammunition stocks in Ukraine exploding; the incidents took place in Balakleya (Kharkiv region), Svatove (Luhansk region) and Kalynivka (Vinnytsia region).
