A plane with citizens who were evacuated from Afghanistan landed at Kyiv Boryspil airport. There were 96 people on board, including foreigners. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar on air of UA: First.
"People whose return was requested by the Vatican and Canada arrived on this aircraft. Our country is helping our partners with the evacuation from Afghanistan. Now 96 people have arrived, including citizens of Ukraine, and citizens whose return was requested by the Vatican and Canada," she said.
As it was reported earlier, after aggravation of a situation in Afghanistan six evacuation planes with more than 650 people arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine.
On September 8, Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the President's Office and speaker of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group said that Ukraine was preparing a camp to receive 5,000 Afghan refugees.
