A plane with 98 citizens evacuated from Afghanistan on board has arrived at the Boryspil international airport. This is reported by Klymenko Time Telegram- channel.

Among these passengers 27 people are Ukrainians. This is the same flight, the departure of which was announced by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba during the Crimean Platform.

On August 15, the Taliban militants seized Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that he had left the country to avoid bloodshed as the Taliban entered the capital Kabul. 

Earlier, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak stated that over 100 Ukrainian citizens remain in Afghanistan.

On August 15, Ukraine evacuated from Afghanistan on its plane Ukrainians and the citizens of four more countries. Later, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky specified on Twitter that almost 80 people were evacuated from Afghanistan on the Ukrainian plane. The number includes eight Ukrainians and citizens of other states who asked about the urgent evacuation.

On August 22, An Il-76MD military aircraft from Afghanistan landed in Ukraine and evacuated 83 people. Most of them are foreigners.
