The organizers of the Eurovision are familiar with the situation concerning Eurovision participants in Ukraine. They outlined that the political views of the participants do not matter out of the contest. In particular, Jon Ola Sand, the producer of the Eurovision, stated this, as Strana reported.

“We have received a lot of messages concerning the current situation. It can cause problems to Ukraine and Ukrainian delegation”, - the producer said.

Jon Ola Sand also pointed out that “the Eurovision cannot be a political contest.” “We assess the voice, the choreography, and the music, but no their ideas out of stage,” he clarified.

According to Jon Ola Sand, he discussed with his colleagues the situation with Ukrainian participants, but the position of the organizers has not changed for now.

“We are planning to enjoy the music and the art of such wonderful country as Ukraine,” the director added.

As we reported earlier, Maruv became a participant of Eurovision-2019 from Ukraine. This became known after the joint voting of the jury and the TV audience on February, 23. MARUV won the show with “Siren Song” amid explosive drama and red-hot words. She’ll represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv. Maruv won the national selection for Eurovision 2019. She got 11 points out of 12.
