Eurovision-2018: 18 singers to compete for right to represent Ukraine

18 performers will compete for the right to represent Ukraine at the International Song Contest Eurovision, which this year will be held in Lisbon. The results of the first stage of the national selection were reported by UA:First TV channel.

As early as February 10, the performances of national selection will be broadcasted live. Among the singers there are: The Erised, Serhiy Babkin, Сonstantine, Kozak System, The ВЙО, Julinoza, Dilemma, Kazka, Yurcash, Mountain Breeze, Ingret Kostenko, Vil'na, Laud, Tayanna, Kadnay, Pur:Pur, Melovin, Illaria.

Musical producers note that during the first stage they received more than a thousand applications. The main difference of the current national selection is that all the songs that will be broadcasted live are original.

It is reported that 16 musical genres, including indi-pop, authentic, reggie, house, experiment pop, folks and others will be presented at the contest.

On January 19, the order of the participants' performance in the semifinals will be determined,.

The semifinals of the national selection are scheduled for February 10 and 17, the finals - on February 24.

As it was reported earlier Junior Eurovision 2018 will be held in Minsk. The 16th European Song Contest will be also the second time when Belarus hosts the event; previously, it held the Junior Eurovision in 2010.
