European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn will visit Ukraine on Wednesday, November 15 to discuss the process of implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and Free Trade Area. This was announced by the European Union Delegation to Ukraine, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
"The purpose of the visit is to discuss the implementation of the Association Agreement and an in-depth and comprehensive free trade zone, progress in fighting corruption and supporting independent media and public broadcasting," the report said.
Johannes Hahn is scheduled to hold meetings with Ukrainian top authorities.
As it was reported earlier, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Wess Mitchell will visit Ukraine on November 14-16. Within the framework of the visit, Mitchell will meet with Ukrainian high-ranking officials whose goal is "to confirm the U.S. commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and encourage them to continue carrying out key reforms." Assistant Secretary of State also intends to meet with representatives of business circles and civil society of Ukraine.
