Ukraine’s Association Agreement with the European Union is fulfilled only for 15%. This was stated by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during his working trip to Dnipro city. The speech was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"The Association Agreement, which came into force on September 1, is the road map for our reforms, and I want to emphasize that as it has been completed only by 15%, we have a lot of work ahead of us," Poroshenko said.

It is worth noting that the work on the Association Agreement lasted 10 years and was completed in 2013. Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in November 2013 at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius did not sign the document, which, in particular, became the reason for the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity. The signing took place in 2014 after the Revolution. During 2014-2017, the Agreement was ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, the European Parliament, as well as national parliaments of all EU countries.

As it was reported earlier the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a plan of measures to implement the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. The corresponding decision was made at a government session on October 25.

Earlier it was reported that EU Council approved the Association Agreement of Ukraine and the EU on July 11, thus the European Union finally completed the ratification of the Agreement.

On Friday, September 1, the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement entered into full force and effect, as foreseen by the respective statement earlier released by the EU.
