Heads of states and government of the EU countries will listen on June 22-23 to the recommendations on the situation with the implementation of Minsk agreements in Donbas from the representatives in Normandy Format - French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. A high-ranking EU official told this to journalists anonymously on Wednesday in Brussels, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

You know that we are now at the stage of considering further actions with restrictive measures against Russia, "the source said.

According to him, a kind of a technical discussion of the situation around the Minsk agreements will take place.

Earlier, a diplomatic source in the EU said that the summit as it is would not decide on extending economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. A legally effective decision is to be taken by the EU Council.
