The European Union and NATO must pay attention to different scenarios of the Russian invasion of Ukraine as Delfi reported citing Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs.

"Russia can carry out not only a large invasion of Ukraine but also smaller attacks, for example, in the form of hybrid warfare, which can also affect security. Therefore, NATO and the EU should pay more attention to such scenarios," the minister said.

It is noted that large-scale sanctions against Russia, in case of an invasion of Ukraine, will also affect Latvia's economy, but this is unavoidable because security choices must be made.
