EU-Japan bilateral summit will take place on Thursday, July 6 in Brussels. The parties among other issues will discuss Ukraine and further consolidation of international efforts on countering Russian aggression. This was announced by the EU representative, reports Ukrinform.
“Leaders will discuss the situation in Ukraine, in particular, assistance to the state and in the context of further relations with Russia,” The EU diplomat said.
One of the central topics of the EU-Japan summit is the situation in Syria, in the Middle East, and relations with the DPRK. The sides will discuss issues of combating terrorism, cooperation in security sphere, counteraction to climate change and settlement of the migration crisis.
At the same time, among the main expectations of summit should be an announcement of political agreement between the EU and Japan on free trade, as well as a bilateral agreement on strategic partnership.
As it was reported earlier the acceptance of the joint announcement on the results of Ukraine-EU summit that will take place on July 12-13 is under threat.
