EU approves certificates of anti-Covid-19 vaccination

The European Parliament has approved the introduction of the digital certificate on vaccination against coronavirus as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

It is reported that 546 members of the European Parliament supported the introduction of the digital document; 93 opposed such a decision, and 51 lawmakers abstained from voting.

The system of digital Covid-19 certificates will start to act from July 1.

As we reported, governments of seven EU member countries began to issue digital certificates of vaccination. Since this particular day, the documents are available in Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Poland, Croatia and the Czech Republic.

The digital certificate will enable tourists to travel in the EU without restrictions. The certificate will show whether the person was vaccinated, received a negative PCR result, or recovered from the infection.

Besides, Ukraine plans to issue such certificates from the end of June.
