Estonian Foreign Ministry does not recognize election in Crimea

Foreign Minister of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu stated the position of his country on elections in the annexed Crimea. He published the statement on Twitter.

“Estonia does not recognise today’s elections held in Crimea and Sevastopol, illegally annexed by Russia. I reaffirm our strong support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Reinsalu wrote.

As it was reported, Russia held elections on the territory of the occupied Crimea on September 8.

Foreign Ministries of Ukraine, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland condemned holding the elections in the annexed Crimea by occupation authorities and called them illegitimate.
