Erdogan believes that NATO members should fight against terrorism

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized NATO partners for their refusal to support Turkish military operation in Syria, as Aysor informed

He believes that NATO members have to fight against terrorism. 

"Supposedly, NATO members should fight against terrorism, however, they do not take an active position in this issue," Erdogan said.

As it was reported, numerous countries, which are NATO members urge Recep Tayyip Erdogan to cease the military operation. Some European countries, on their turn, banned weapons supplies to Turkey. 

Earlier, Turkey brought its troops across the border with Syria. A small forward group of Turkish forces appeared not far from Syrian towns of Tell Abyad and Ras-al-Ayn on Wednesday morning. They were prepared to advance. The Turkish side aimed to make Syrian armed units withdraw from the border. 

President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Lilian Mori Pasquier called on Turkey to end the military operation in northern Syria.
