European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will consider approval of the mechanism for suspending visa-free regime today. This was stated in the agenda on site of EP Committee.
“List of the third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those whose nationals are exempt from that requirement (review of the suspension mechanism)” the statement in agenda says.
The Committee's decision will open the way for further voting at the plenary session of the European Parliament, the Vice Speaker Iryna Gerashchenko explained on their Facebook page.
"We will appeal to our European colleagues to vote this issue this year, on the last session of the week," she said.
Earlier it was reported that EU Commissioner calls to decide on visa-free regime for Ukraine. Johannes Hahn congratulated on confirming the visa-free regime suspension mechanism.
