Energy and Coal Industry Ministry announces end of gas crisis in Ukraine

The Crisis Committee of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine claimed about the end of the crisis situation and switch to the standard operating conditions since March 7. Maksym Bilyavsky, the adviser of the Energy and Coal Industry Minister reported on Facebook.

‘The Crisis Committee of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry just made a decision to announce the end of the crisis situation and switch to the standard operating conditions since March 7, 2018’, Bilyavsky claimed.

As we reported, on March 2, Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry shifted generating companies from gas to fuel oil, suspended kindergartens, schools and universities, and suggested the enterprises’ roadmap on saving gas resources to be revised. This decision was made due to the actions of Russia’s ‘Gazprom’ after the Stockholm Court of Arbitration satisfied Naftogaz’s claims against it on February 28.
