Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated he recalled two Ukrainian diplomats from Poland. It is tied with their detention at the border during the attempt of smuggling as Kuleba reported on Facebook.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the diplomats were caught by the border guards red-handed during the attempt to smuggle from Ukraine to Poland the big amount of currency, gold and contraband cigarettes in the service car.

“It is the flagrant case for the Foreign Ministry. I am sure that it is important to reveal such cases, make them public. We have to break the disgraceful approach – sweep under the rug. It should be revealed. Or we will live in the garbage,” the minister wrote.

Kuleba assured that the Foreign Ministry will not conceal such disgraceful cases and moreover, it will not conceal the figures in the case.

“I immediately recalled the employees from the long-term foreign trip. Their work at the embassy has finished. We opened the disciplinary investigation against the employees due to the exposed facts. The Foreign Ministry will fully cooperate with the law enforcement bodies,” he noted.
