Employees of public sector, education to be suspended in case from refusal from vaccination

The government will oblige the employers of the public sector and education sphere to suspend the employees from work in case of refusal to vaccinate against Covid-19 as Hromadske reported citing Health Minister Viktor Lyashko.

“There is a controlling body, which can come to work and check, if the employer does not suspend unvaccinated person, he/she can take responsibility. If the vaccine is obligatory, the employer is obliged to suspend from the working process a person, who is not vaccinated,” the minister underlined.

According to Lyashko, the Heath Ministry develops the proper draft order on the obligatory vaccination of the representatives of public institutions. This demand during the quarantine will spread on the employees of the professional education, professional high education, general secondary education, preschool education, out-of-school facilities, employees of the central government bodies and their territorial units, employees of local administrations.

Concerning the medical sphere, according to Lyashko, over 80% have already vaccinated and there is no need to oblige them to vaccinate. Moreover, if medics are suspended from work, there will be no one to treat the patients.

Earlier, Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated that Covid-19 vaccination will become mandatory for officials and workers in the field of education.

Besides, the Ministry of Healthcare is developing a list of professions that will definitely need to be vaccinated against Covid.
