Cause of fire is being established

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine

Fire occurred on dumping grounds for solid household waste in Makukhivka village near Poltava. This was reported by the press service of State Emergency Service on Facebook.

Report about the fire on landfill came on May 28 at 1:25 p.m.

"First responders established that there is rubbish fire on 0.015 hectares area. Rescuers localized fire at 7:51 p.m. Fire brigade worked with respiratory protection due to heavy haze," the message reads.

As of 10 p.m. May 28, fire was liquidated on 0,011 ha area. Works on extinguishing fire continue. 

State Emergency Service reported that there were no casualties or injured people as a result of fire.

Cause of ignition is being established.
