Ukraine’s Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) is finding out whether the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) was hiding documents required for the investigation of embezzlement in Ukroboronprom, as SAP Head Nazar Kholodnytsky commented for 112 Ukraine.
“I would like to have a report on the investigation of each proceeding, because as SAP Head, I have a question about the presence of certain documents in the case material which, according to the resources, NABU had two years ago and hidden it from the prosecutors for some reason. We are trying to find that out,” he stated.
As it was reported earlier, the investigators of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office detained the acting and former directors of the State Foreign Trade Enterprise SpetsTechnoExport on suspicion of embezzling $2,225 million, according to NABU.
Kremlin commented on the scandal with smuggling of military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The press secretary of the president of Russian Federation Dmitry Pesov claimed this to be absurd, as such equipment is under special control.
