“The opening of the Embassy of Ireland in Kyiv creates extra possibilities for the development of the trade cooperation between our countries and, undoubtedly, will facilitative the activation of the bilateral interaction in many branches, particularly, IT sector, investment and education spheres,” Senyk said.
In his turn, Cohen noted that the opening of the Embassy in Kyiv is an important landmark in the development of bilateral cooperation and it is part of Global Ireland strategy on the extension of Ireland’s presence in the world.
The Embassy has shared the diplomatic relations with Ukraine and Ireland were established on April 1, 1992. The Embassy of Ukraine in Ireland was opened in August 2003.
As we reported, Ukraine opened its first honorary consulate in Shemakha, Azerbaijan. Mehrali Gasimov, an entrepreneur and a graduate of the Kyiv Institute of International Relations, who has held various positions at international companies such as SAP and DeGolyer & MacNaughton Corporation, has been appointed Honorary Consul.
