Electronic warfare stations purchased in Europe will be installed in Ukraine by the end of the year. This was exclusively reported by the Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak to the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Indeed, Russia is experimenting and experiencing something new that they have, including matters relating to intelligence and electronic warfare. We have our achievements now in our military-industrial complex. In addition, we purchased, I would not want to say their number, electronic warfare stations in Europe. By the end of the year they will be installed in Ukraine.
Generally, we oppose Russia even now. I think that our combat potential related to electronic warfare will be increased after receiving these stations, we bought those stations whose development is completed, and we will be able to use them. Some Ukrainian stations are already installed; some are now on the last stage of testing. Today a group of officers receive the ones we bought abroad," the Minister said.
Earlier it was reported that US Congress will increase military aid to Ukraine to $350 million in 2017. This amount is included in the draft of the budget law of the United States in 2017 for the needs of national defense.
