Elections in 40 joint territorial communities first-ever in Ukraine

The elections in 40 joint territorial communities are held today on April 29. The media relations department of the Central Election Commission Secretariat.

People in 40 joint territorial communities in 17 Ukraine’s regions will vote for deputies of village, township and city councils of joint territorial communities and relevant village, township and city heads. 133 local boards are within these 40 joint territorial communities: 4 cities, 15 townships and 113 village councils.

The elections are conducted in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovograd, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi regions.

On preliminary projections, more than 263,000 voters can participate in elections.

The territorial electoral commission set 908 territorial single-mandate constituencies to conduct elections.

The voting is to be held from 8:00 till 20:00 on 306 electoral districts.

After the elections the total number of all the elections in Joint Territorial Communities appointed by Central Electoral Commission will make 707.
