The National Police of Ukraine starts guarding all the polling stations 24/7 from March 29. The press service of the National police reports.
The ballot papers are brought to almost 9,000 polling stations. The police have been guarding almost the third part of them for now. 10,000 law enforcement officers are monitoring the polling stations.
According to the report, the police received 134 claims over 24 hours, and totally 4,428 claims have been registered since the beginning of the election campaign. The police officers launched seven criminal proceedings over a day. 236 claims have been added to the Register of the pre-trial investigations.
Over 700 administrative proceedings have been launched since the beginning of the election campaign.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has created 199 district election commissions for the upcoming presidential election on March 31.
The election campaign has officially started on December 31, 2018. Registration of the candidates was closed on February 4, 2019, and on February 9, the final list of presidential candidates appeared.
