The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Healthcare considers it expedient to allow the work of kindergartens and junior classes regardless of the quarantine zone. Education Minister Serhiy Shkarlet announced that during a government meeting.
“Together with the Ministry of Healthcare, we consider it expedient to provide the opportunity to visit educational institutions for schoolchildren, special secondary schools and students of grades 1-4 of secondary schools, regardless of the level of epidemiology,” Scarlett states.
He noted that kindergarten students and elementary school students need direct contact with teachers.
“And that is why today we are initiating changes to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, which will let preschoolers and students of grades 1-4 attend the educational institutions,” the minister added.
As it was reported earlier, Ukraine will move to the yellow zone of epidemiological security at midnight on Thursday, September 23. Only those educational institutions where at least 80% of employees have vaccination documents will be able to work in person.
