An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale has struck Zakarpattia region on the night of October 27, the press service of the main center of special control reports.

It is known that the source of the earthquake was located in the Zakarpattia region, near Vynohradiv, at a depth of 7 km. According to the classification, the earthquake is minor.

According to the calculations of vibrations, such shocks are felt only by individuals who are at rest indoors, especially on the upper floors.

The agency noted that the last earthquakes in the region were registered on January 23 and July 25, 2020, with magnitudes of 3 and 1.9, respectively.

As it was reported, an earthquake with the epicenter of 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale took place not far from Chortkiv, Ternopil region, near the Dniester river on September 23. The citizens of Ternopil, Khmelnytsk, Vinnytsia and the Chernivtsi region clearly felt the earth shock.

Later, on September 8, an earthquake was recorded near the Brestiv village of Mukachevo district, Zakarpattia region. The earthquake had a magnitude of 2.5.
