The President’s Ombudsman on the Crimean Tatars' Affairs Mustafa Dzhemilev wants the presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky to answer the questions about Crimea personally, as 5 TV channel reported.
“This is not Zelensky’s answer, it’s his team – and tomorrow he might say: “I don’t know, I don’t have a team, I expelled it”. Therefore, I would like to hear Zelensky,” Dzhemilev said.
He reiterated that there were five questions, which concerned not just Crimea.
“You say you want to establish peaceful relationships with Russia. But as we have not attacked Russia, we have not occupied the part of Russia, we have not told Russia how to live and what path to follow, so what concessions are you going to make to appease Putin? Doesn’t it provide recognition of Crimea’s annexation and occupation of the parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions?” Dzhemilev said.
Earlier, Mustafa Dzhemilev asked Zelensky five questions. In particular, he asked whether Crimea’s annexation was the result of popular will. Zelensky was also asked whether concessions in a form of recognition of legitimacy of Crimea’s annexation to set peace with Russia are possible. Dzhemilev is also curious if Zelensky would agree on a meeting with Putin on the territory of annexed peninsula and is his team planning to lift blockade of Crimea.
On April 15, ZeTeam answered the questions of Mustafa Dzhemilev saying that Crimea belongs to Ukraine, it is unacceptable to sacrifice the peninsula for peace in Donbas.
