The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered the bill No. 6000 on the State Budget for 2022.
The text of the document is not yet available, however, according to the budget, which the Cabinet of Ministers approved today, budget revenues are provided in the amount of UAH 1.219 trillion ($ 45,7 billion), expenses - UAH 1.407 trillion ($ 52,8 billion). The budget deficit is planned to be reduced to 3.5%.
5.95% of GDP is directed to the security and defense sector. UAH 5.5 billion was allocated to provide housing for ATO JFO participants with the status of internally displaced persons.
At the same time, UAH 10.6 billion will be allocated for additional payments to military pensioners, for the recalculation of pensions for Chernobyl victims, plus UAH 2.5 billion, and for the continuation of additional payment programs for pensioners aged 75 and over.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the draft law on Ukraine's state budget for 2022. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting.
"The budget for 2022 is not only balanced and realistic, but also the budget for modernizing the country, restoring the economy and investing in people, in their health, education and development," he said.
Shmyhal also noted that one of the important innovations of the budget, which is based on the presidential decree, is the establishment of the minimum salary of doctors at UAH 20,000 ($751) and the minimum salary of medics at UAH 13,500 ($507). Accordingly, the average salary of a doctor next year will exceed UAH 22,500 ($845). In general, the average monthly salary in Ukraine next year will reach almost UAH 15,500 ($582).
