Leaders of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea confirmed the launch of the ballistic missile from the territory of their country this Monday. BBC reported that citing the Korean Central News agency.
The missile was launched in the direction of the Sea of Japan and has successfully hit the set target, reads the message.
According to the agency, Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA) set forth highly important tasks for the strategy for development of modern anti-aircraft guided weapon system of Korean style.
It is also noted that the weapon system's efficiency to detect and track targets has remarkably improved and its hitting accuracy has also increased, comparing with those of last year.
This was the third ballistic missiles test within last few days. According to Interfax citing South Korean military men, the one-step missile covered the distance in 450 km and fell down in the exclusive economic zone of Japan.
