The National Police in Donetsk region has opened the criminal proceeding due to the falsification of the data during the processing of the ballots at one of the polling stations in Manhush area as the police reported.
“The data passed to the Central Election Committee on the distribution of the votes between the candidates for the presidency in Ukraine does not coincide with the information published by the Central Election Committee and the gap in the favor of one of the candidates was increased nine times,” the message said.
The mentioned fact put on the Unified register of pretrial investigation with the preliminary legal qualification due to the provision of false data to the body of the State register of the voters and falsification of the electoral documents.
The police establish the stage during which the disagreement appeared and people, who are involved in the possible falsification.
As we reported the National Police have received 2,600 reports about the violations of the election law for two days. 71 cases were qualified as the criminal offense.
As of 2 p.m., April 2, Volodymyr Zelensky enters the second tour of the elections with 30,23% of votes, while Petro Poroshenko is second with 15,92%.
Earlier the Central Election Commission published the results of the voting abroad. Over 55,000 Ukrainians participated in the elections abroad. According to the information, Poroshenko gained38,93% of votes, Zelensky got 26,01% and Anatoly Hrytsenko has 10,64%. Other candidates got less than 10% of the votes.
The voters’ turnout in Ukraine made 63,45% and 62,71% as of 8:00 p.m., March 31.
