“The Interior Ministry of Donetsk People’s Republic confirmed that during the abolishing of curfew on New Year holidays, they will detain people who have Ukrainian passport as a document for identification,” the message said.
Such a decision was explained by the impossibility to ‘check the legitimacy’ of the Ukrainian document.
At suspicion of the involvement of the owner of such passports in the ‘illicit activity’, the mentioned person will be transferred to the nearest territorial police department for identification and fingerprinting.
The militants still block five checkpoints at the demarcation line; while all checkpoints for admission of the citizens work at the Ukrainian side.
As we reported, in the Donetsk region, the service center is opened at Novotroitske checkpoint. According to Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, all citizens of Ukraine on either side of the contact line will be able to get social and administrative services, legal aid and use Nova Poshta and Oschadbank services at the service center.
